it's always a nice surprise to see people change while in front of the camera. i know of SO many people who think they don't have what it takes to be great in pictures. but with a little direction and warming up, i love how their personality comes out. that's why i love taking portraits. the beauty is not in the settings or the apparels but how the person brings out his/her innermost confident self. i love bringing that out in people. and the greatest feeling is when they see themselves in the pictures and get surprised. Always worth the effort.
i wish i could do that more often with strangers though. i see so many gorgeous persons on the street and wish i could go up to them and ask them for a picture. in that sense, i wish i were working for a talent recruitment company or something. as i've read somewhere, the worst thing that could happen is they say no. but that idea always holds me back! i need to work on that.

and ditto on everything you wrote! i feel the same way when i see beautiful/interesting people and i hear a voice in my head that says do it do it but i don't have the courage to listen :(

On the corollary 'you sing more beautiful than you think' ;) It's amazing how sun light through little gaps between leaves give a reason to smile and admire when this beautifully executed. Congrats!
And I couldn't agree more with you guys. You aptly mentioned 'the beauty...settings...but how the person brings out his/her innermost confident self'. However, you yourself need to be confident yourself esp when approaching strangers. Do not be afraid of denial. The positive thing is you are cute looking lady, and there is little chance of getting a 'no' for an answer. All the best!
